India is learning while she is teaching.

Tremendous response that ‘teach India’ has generated is worth a compliment. If knowledge is power then lending this power to someone is the most supreme virtue that, India is currently showcasing. Swarm of college students, housewives and many others from different walks of life are under the same umbrella which stands for a cause. And what a cause it really is. Where thousands of underprivileged children will be learning and some ‘learnt’ others will be learning to teach. I wonder what took us so long to come up with something as brilliant as that. Nevertheless, now people will take some time out to give something meaningful, back to our society in true sense, and ultimately India is going to gain a lot through this initiative taken by the times of India. Sky has never been as bright over our head as it is today and brightest is the future of ‘our’ India. Teach India.

‘HE’ DID IT AGAIN

Consistency in this Indian team is as elusive as a hit from Yash Raj camp. Having beaten Australia in Australia in the winter, we thought, we finally have arrived, right up there to win the world [cup]. Not for a single moment we spared a thought on a miserable Caribbean outing that we had gulped down our throats like a bitter medicine. Then came IPL, where in young blood with oozing panache and verve, took the entire nation by storm. Somewhere in our mindspace we started dreaming about clinching the distant world cup of 2011…..but then god spat on our face. We got the hint of the ground reality, two back to back defeats at the hands of Pakistan and Sri Lanka in two consecutive finals.[ we are the new south African team, located in Asia ] It’s not that we played bad cricket, in fact we played a very good cricket, but letting the opposition go off the tenterhooks, is as big a mistake in cricket as casting Rakhi Sawant for Seeta’s role in Ramayana. And we did just that! We let opposition to enter our back yard and allowed them not only to occupy our house but to rule us. Last time the ruler was Ajantha Mendis, a lanky spin bowler from sri lankan side, who simply wrecked our on-the-paper-strong batting line-up. We caught the flight to Colombo in the hope to prove ‘we don’t mind mendis’. And like Britney spear he did it again, and again. He ‘shaved’ the Indian batter on a spin track. Sri lanka has always been a formidable force in their den, but we did not acknowledge that and perished.

Don’t drag it far too long………………

He is currently the number one superstar of this country, hands down. Known for his sharp wit and tongue firmly in cheek, SRK is a dream success story that every youngster in India nurtures. He is passionate about his work, excessively gung-ho about all the projects that he undertakes. At 42, He is bundle of enormous energy and has always been in news for his clean humour and bang-on, but not-so-offending remarks. Be it his appearance on kofee with karan, where he does his act in the best possible way through his answers [ if not through his hilarious questionnaire….that he puts to Karan] or his infamous na-real awards which stand for not so good [read bad] performances or some goofy stuff on or off the screen. [I guess Vidya Balan is going to receive an advanced Na-real award, courtsey her outfits in Kismet Konnection in the same category for which she received it last year….] SRK is humour embodied indeed. but Mr. Khan, don’t stretch it far too long…………

You know what I am talking about. Having created an unwanted [I doubt…] flutter and spoiling Katrina’s birthday party last week, allegedly by the off-colour joke that you cracked about sallu and Mrs. Bachachan was a complete no-no. We know you for your kind of jokes where even Yash Chopra is not spared. But don’t stoop too low, so much so that it gives the print media fodder to feed on and news channels those elusive TRP’s. This is an ardent request from a true fan. You create headlines for your films, fine!…you grab our attention by sporting pony tail or for that matter by your much hyped [and now flattened] six packs, is absolutely okay!….But SRK in news for a spat, [that too with….salman…..done to death!] I guess not your type of news. Let your movies do the talking not some fights or spat….otherwise, public is either so smart or so much in a hurry to label it as an orchestrated move…you decide!

why make haste when the sun shines?

Ok pomeez, so what if you own the printing press of the green bucks? [Pounds or euros you decide for yourself!] so what if you started playing this game with cucubura ball and pined willows a way too early……. even before when we were busy learning to handle the bat? Now, this is our game in a true sense, that had aaccidentally been discovered somewhere in the meadows of your country. Cricket is our passion; it’s an obsession here in India. It’s a religion we are totally fanatic about [no matter what harsha advices] we love to go to the stadium, we swarm in numbers to cheer [read roar] for our star cricketers. We smear our faces with tricolours and go tendlya….tendlya….with ear-splitting decibles .our cricketing heroes are venerated here when they make us proud by showcasing their dexterity in front of a full house. And Their houses are pelted if they showcase a dismal play in a crunch situation and make us shed tears. But that’s how we are …wildly passionate about this game…..that’s what the passion is for us…..ye indiya ka cricket hai bhidoo!

We come home early from our offices if it’s India and Pakistan in the final. We are hooked on to the cricket commentary on radio if not glued to our television sets. We control possession of the remote control and make sure that we do not miss a single move that sachin tendulkar displays while facing some thunderbolts. [So what if other female members of the family miss an episode of Kyunki saas bhi……in which Tulsi is likely to be killed thrice?] That’s how this game is, we are cricket crazy nation and there are no half measures to our craziness. Now having heard this rattle…I beg an answer from you my pommy friend…..

Is this how cricket in England is? [ I doubt]

There are talks floating around that, you guys are coming up with [ECB-English cricket board] EPL that is English premier league based on the lines of IPL.

IPL was a huge success here in India because it has everything in it right from jhatkaaz of bollywood to matkaaz of tom-tom girls. The action was not only existed on the field but it was seen and enjoyed off the field as well. We raked in millions in the end but that’s what we [BCCI] are worthy of….that’s what cricket lovers like us are worthy of. Because we thought of money but you guys could smell power. You are planning to spend some billions; i am told, and you are roping in some mega stars as well. If it’s for a cricket it’s fine.[by now we all know cricket is a rich orphan…every one busy milking it] But if you think this an opportunity to belittle BCCI, and if this is a ploy to rein the world cricketing power, [which currently we are…..any doubt?] and if we brown-skinned have been sore in your eyes, and you think this is the right time to introduce EPL in order to extract more than what BCCI did through IPL……you are too fast…or for that matter….very, very slow indeed…bad timing mate.

Make sure more thought process goes into it. Rather than thinking about the money generating venture that you think this format of the game is potential of [20-20].

It has happened in the past too.

I dont understand these variations at all !
when you speak, you speak sense. when we do…we scream….

we commit murder when we retaliate…..you bring revolution by mass killing…..

we take from you we steal, and you take from us, you call it inspiration!

Now the times have changed, and the tables have turned. And if EPL is just a money making venture which is “inspired” from IPL then make it work well…other wise it will just be a storm before the lull.
